A/N: This is based on one of my personal rants against certain decisions made in the Enterainment Industry over the last few months.

“WHAT THE….’ Blair suddenly yelled, breaking the peaceful silence of The Loft.

Jim, startled, looked up from his book, “What now?’

“I don´t believe it.’ Blair replied “I just don´t believe it.’ He leant back in his chair “I just don´t…’

“Believe what Chief?’ Jim put his book down and got off of the sofa and walked over to the kitchen table where Blair was sitting. He leant on the back of Blair´s chair and looked over his shoulder, at the open laptop on the table.

“Look.’ Blair pointed at the screen “I was just wandering around the entertainment section and I found this.’ He paused to give Jim time to read the news article on screen.
“Well? What do you think?’ he asked

“I think you´ll need to find something else to watch on an evening.’ Jim replied, knowing full well that his reply would not appease Blair.

“Is that all? Is that all you can say?’

Jim smiled “Well…’ he turned to face Blair and waited for the passionate response he knew Blair would come back with. He wasn´t disappointed;

“We´ve had three and a half seasons of it. We´ve watched the relationship between them go from complete strangers to friends, only to see them lose their way and then get back on track, the bond between them getting closer, and now that they´re finally accepting each other and they´re this close from actually having a relationship it´s cancelled’

“Well…..’

“It´s cancelled!!! I mean how can they do that to us? It's nothing more than a crime! It's insulting. It´s sacrilege. It´s worse than betrayal. It´s ….it´s…..it´s….’

“It´s not fair?"

“Damn right. It´s so not fair. And you know why?’

“No but I´ve got a feeling you´re going to tell me.’ Jim grinned.

“It´s not fair because The Powers that be say it´s being cancelled because they want to concentrate on new projects and they´ve decided to get rid of some of the more established serials to make room from the newbie´s.’ Blair paused for breath,

“So? That makes sense.’

“NO it doesn´t. How can they justify getting rid of ‘established´ long running QUALITY TV shows by putting these….these…?’ Blair waved his hand in the air “Lame assed, boring, run of the mill shows in their place.’

“Some one might like those shows.’ Jim added, helpfully.

Blair choose to ignore Jim´s reply and continued on his rant. “I mean it´s just not on. And that´s not even the REAL reason why they´re canning it."

“It isn´t???’ Jim asked.

Blair shook his head “No it isn´t. The real reason is because they aren´t happy with how the guy´s relationship is starting to pan out. There´s a rumour that they don´t want to invest in a new season because they want it to stay mainstream and that won´t work if the guys relationship is to be allowed to develop as it would naturally..’

“Oh. So what made it a hit in the first place is now getting it cancelled.’

“Precisely.’ Blair replied. “Just because they don´t want to push any television boundaries and they want to play safe – you know guns, cars, explosions, having different women each week as the guys love interest – instead of each other – because that wouldn´t appeal to the proposed demographical audience ’

“That sucks.’

Blair nodded. “It so sucks.’

Jim leant over and kissed Blair “So – who do we complain to?’
